I have a question. What is this graffiti saying?
Thanks,
Kim
Christian wears or represent cross as a holy symbol. Like wise in hindu religion there is a group called vishnavas (like there are different groups in Christianity) there use this graffiti as a holy symbol and it is called as Thirumann.
Meaning : Vaishnavas call their representation of Namam on their foreheads as Thirumann, which means the sacred earth (dust). Namam consists of three vertical lines joined at the base, the two outer whitelines signifying the worship of Brahama (male god) and Vishnu (male god) and the red centerline signifying the worship Mahalakshi(female god). The Namam(thirumann) signifies the fact the men and women of this world will all be transformed.
**** Basically represents: white lines- PerumAL’s pAdam(Foot of lord Vishnu) & red/yellow line – Sri( female goddess lakshmi)

You can see the person having NAMAM in his forehead.
PS: Sorry! for the late reply. Because we had a national holiday and i did not access net.
Sathiyan,
I never think about people replying.
I just read or look and respond.
I think those of us here are telling our stories in a varitey of ways.
I believe the world is much smaller than we think.
You, when you do respond, are informative and patient with my lack of knowledge. That has no time line!
I enjoy your work. I go back to these photos daily and allow myself the time to be in them, then I respond.
And, on a visual note, the Forest poem came from looking at a photo. I have discovered something I did not know about myself.
I will be experiencing your photos differently. If this happens in fruition, I will ask your permission to post your photos in conjunction with a piece,if a poem comes from them.
Thank you for your time!
Kim
